"I spent my third transfer on completion of house construction as this was a dire need as we did not have a house of our own and lived in my brother in law's house since he is away. I then paid secondary school fee for our child at 10,000 KES , restocked my business for 10,000 KES and it is improving and finally also bought a bag of dry corn for family consumption."

"I spent my third transfer on building a three room house for 100,000 KES(had saved the entire second transfer for this purpose). This is because housing was an urgent need since I never used to have a house of my own and lived in my estranged co-wife's house, and always felt insecure due to the possibility of her return and re-union with our husband and in which case I was to be left house-less . Thank you"

Yefusa
received a $473 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my life now is that am a very happy man now and I am at peace with my wife and children because I am able to meet their basic needs, previously I was unhappy and my wife and children used to complain to me a lot because I could not afford to meet their demands like food, clothing.
I have enough land to farm in because I hired one but previously I did not have enough land where I can do farming to get food.
My son is now a married man and independent because I helped him to pay dowery unlike before whem he was single and entirely depended on me,this makes me happier."

"I spent my third transfer on purchase of a Power Saw machine for splitting timber for 80,000 KES. Before then, my husband did the business using a hired Power Saw where he would pay 2,000 KES per day, the challenge being sometimes he would go without for even 4 days in a row, and still had to raise money for the hire. And often times he made around 1,500 KES yet needed to pay hire fee and feed us, and life was difficult. Our living standard has improved since we acquired our own machine for the business. We plan to save and start a Glass mart/ Hardware shop since these days there is high competition in the industry. From the business proceeds, we plan to build a better house for the family early 2018."

"I spent my third transfer for a start -up Tree-Nursery Project for 100,000 KES (I had saved the entire second transfer with the intention of putting the moneys together for this very purpose). I bought seeds from different tree species (Gravellia 2 kg, Kaladadi 2kg, kayapo 2kg, whistling pine 1kg) and planted. To date I have 10,000 beautiful tree seedlings. I also sunk a Borehole as a source of water to support the Project fully since normally this area is rather dry.I have a corner at Bondo town where I sell the seedlings daily ,with weekly sales average of about 500 pieces. Life has changed for the better since these days my family gets food daily, unlike before when we could sleep in an empty stomach some of the time due to lack of income sources for both myself and my husband. I had started this project before but just had a few seedlings at home that whoever wanted would come to buy from there, but otherwise I mainly did odd jobs for people at a small fee. My husband’s occupation on the other hand is walking around to look for damaged plastic articles which he repairs at a small fee . I have so far saved 30,000 KES from the Project and hope to break even very soon. This is a marketable business in this part since the place is very dry and tree seedlings sell fairly well, especially in rainy seasons. I thank you very much."

"My major problem has been paying school fees for my 2 children-one in a college and the other one in a secondary school and therefore when I received my third transfer, I used the whole of it for my childrens' education. This offered me a great relief that I enjoyed in life."
