What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy two bulls and to pay school fees for my children and also treat myself because I have been sick.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done well by giving the poor an amount of money that has helped to improve the lives of the poor people,I don't see any aspect where givedirectly has not done well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed especially healthwise,I have been so sickly because I could not afford proper treatment but after getting my transfer,I was able to treat myself and I am now ok.

I spent my first transfer to buy a bed and a mattress,a cow,clothes,I hired land and I also married for my son a wife.

The moment i received my money I felt very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life now is that am a very happy man now and I am at peace with my wife and children because I am able to meet their basic needs,previously I was unhappy and my wife and children used to complain to me a lot because I could not afford to meet their demands like food,clothing.
I have enough land to farm in because I hired one but previously I did not have enough land where I can do farming to get food.
My son is now a married man and independent because I helped him to pay dowery unlike before whem he was single and entirely depended on me,this makes me happier.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is in 1976 when my father passed on and i could not complete secondary education, forcing me to drop out of school without continuing with my childhood dream of being a primary school teacher
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.This is the time when I sit and share with my children some lessons in English.This children refresh my mind alot and remind me of my young days when I was a licenced teacher in a nearby primary school within my home village.This children make me so much happy during this evening sessions.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means paying school fees for my children, hiring land to cultivate crops and renovating my house with new iron sheets
