What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying building materials that I used to construct a new house. I used to stay in a grass thatched house that was leaking and most of the time we could stay awake as all our bedding could be soaked when it rained the whole night.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now able to sleep more comfortable and at peace even when it rains. I remember one time a fellow woman commented after she was rained on inside my house that she would have rather stayed out and be rained on instead of seeking hostage inside my house being that it was leaking. GiveDirectly has spared me the shame and harsh comments from people. I am indebted to them.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying a scientific calculator for my son who joined secondary school earlier this year as required by the school. I then bought a sack of corn for our feeding considering the drought that is. I then spent the rest of the transfer on buying new school uniforms for my other school going children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received my transfer, I was very broke at that time and had gone to bed hungry so when I woke up the next morning and saw the message I went and withdrew the money and cooked a hearty breakfast for my family, we were very happy

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is, inadequate income to build a new house, because this one leaks when it rains, and we are approaching the rainy season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the mornings, when I'm relaxing with my students during break time.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I feel very happy, and I hope it will change my life. The first thing I plan to do is to build a bigger house with metal roof. Lastly, I plan to use part of the money to pay school fees for my child, who has just joined form one this year.
