"I plan to use this money to invest in a business if clothes selling that I used to do but couldn't continue after my business structure was demolished in the road side. This business will make me financially stable and save me from the daily job hunting. Secondly this money will help me in payments of my rent that I do lack money to pay for many times in a month. I also use this money to assist me in getting or buying my daily food."

"On my usual day I wake up and go to work. I am a casual labourer who helps in transport of timber and other goods. I help transport this on my back. The timber is normally used as a means of cooking like fire wood in my neighbourhood. I transport mostly to small hotels. I do this everyday from morning to evening then eat, rest up and wait for the next day. During my free time I spend time with my friends catching up on the sports updates. I also play football during my free time and this helps my mind not to be idle as well."

" I wake up in the morning, take my breakfast then groom myself up and leave for work. I run a shop of selling ice cream. This became my main job after I gave up my conductor hustle in the transport industry. I return home at around 8pm after taking rounds to check up on my friends and catching up on one or two things. I take my supper then retire to bed. In my free time spend it going to my football rehearsals at the deport in Mathare."

"My girlfriend had developed complications during her pregnancy a few months ago which forced me to spend all my savings and even take loans to pay for her medical bills. This affected my business and I could not pay the rent for my business premises for a couple of months. The landlord wanted to rent out the premise to someone else, so I decided to use the entire amount I received to pay the rent to avoid being sent out."

"In future, I would want to be out of mathare and go in a better environment that's conducive for me and my family. This is because where I live it's so dirty and with a lot of rotten activities that happen around like thievery, drugs and all sorts of bad habits. I wouldn't want my family to be in such an environment. Based on my business I would want operate on large scales whereby i can get big contracts with big firms for supply and create more employment opportunities for other young people within my country."
