"I was very happy upon receipt of my recent transfers. At first, I was not sure if the money was intentionally sent to me or someone somewhere had accidentally forwarded the money to my number. I read through the mpesa message then I realized that it was the money I have been expecting from GD. Without wasting any minute I dressed up quickly and dashed out running as fast as my legs could carry me to the nearby market center. I boarded a motorcycle to our major town where I purchased my farming equipment which I had longed to buy but finances were not enough. I went back home with a big smile on my face one could think I had just won a lottery."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the house that I built using the transfer. It has been my big dream to have a decent and a bigger kitchen but since I rely on farming I have been able to build one since the little I get from farming I spent it on my children school fee and on other household basic needs. I had small old thatched hut which I used it as my kitchen as well as a living room for my children. My hut was too small that it could not allow more than a bed and a seat inside. We have always been forced to leave some of my children to sleep on a mat on the flour and I had always felt unhappy of this. I had been feeling so ashamed whenever I had visitors since it has been so unpleasing and uncomfortable to squeeze them in such a small house. Currently, I am so thankful and confident of my home."

"I was so happy when I got the text from Give directly. I informed my husband about the message and he was also very excited when he confirmed that indeed the message was from Give Directly. We knew that our goal of getting a new bigger and more spacious house would eventually come true."
