How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much different in that GiveDirectly has improved on my status. The cash transfers enabled me to pay my daughter's tuition fees at the time when I was hard up. More so I am happy that the phone I was given has made my communication very easy. I also bought a motorcycle which has made my movement from one place to another very possible.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Happiness is the biggest difference I have experienced in my daily life for Give Directly to support me financially because I was in a very difficult situation. The school wanted a lot money which could not have managed to pay but God in a different way blessed me through Give Directly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The money entered my phone at around 2:00 am in the morning and I was wondering who could have sent me a message. When I opened the message I saw ugx 1700000 and I felt so happy and said God bless the Muzungu meaning white man who endeavored to support me. I thanked God so much because this money came at the right moment my daughter was supposed to go back to school and it was exactly what the school needed for the second semester.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
For me as Jennifer Akia I'm a widow struggling to educate my children and I have a daughter in kalem brotherhood Nurses training school pursuing a nursing course.
