"In the next six months, I expect my life to change positively since I will always have a reliable source of income. I am planning to start up and run a small shop. From the shop, I will be able to raise some money daily to support my family. As a result, I shall be having some cash flow in my hands almost all the times."

Warren
received a $23 eighth payment.
"I am planning to use part of these transfers to pay as college fees to take a course in mechanical engineering in the nearby technical training institute. This is something I have always had interest in but did not dare to dream about because I knew I could not afford to raise the money, but with proper planning and savings, I know it is quite achievable. I want to use GD transfers to make a permanent impact in my life, and this is the best way to do that."

Rehema
enrolled.
"Food insecurity is our biggest hurdle and this is because the weather here is unfavourable thus affecting crop production. Last year we got very little harvest due to low rainfall and we now have to dig deep into our pockets to buy food from the shops. Being a casual worker with an income of not more than 2000 shillings every month, buying enough food to satisfy my family of six on a daily basis is no easy task, most times, we can only afford one or two meals in a day."

Deborah
received a $531 second payment.
"My current life is totally different compared to the former life. Before, we were living in a high rate of poverty and nobody could think that there would be a day when I shall stop working on sugarcane plantation in order to get our daily bread. We had no livestock, because culturally, a Man's wealth could be evaluated in terms of the number of livestock he possess. We could not afford planting sugarcane, because the production cost was high and we owned no land as a family. Now I have managed to lease two acres of on which I have planted sugarcane."

Gideon
received a $368 second payment.
"Earlier on before receiving the transfers, I had no mindset of investing in my rural home. My focus then was the urban life including paying all the bills since I could not afford big investments. After receiving the transfers I realized that I could do farming and get lots of money out of it. I have already planted two acres of vegetables and in the next two to three months they will have matured. I am planning to transport to a market here in town and sell them at a higher price. If all goes well I might also relocate my family to my rural home something that I had not thought of. The transfer was an eye-opener to me, my focus at the moment is on self-employment, which is possible through the motorbike that I bought and farming back at home."

Harrison
received a $368 second payment.
"My life is currently different as my mother's health is much better. Seeing her healthy really gives me peace. Earlier before receiving the transfers, she could hardly get money for her medication. Seeing her ill used to stress me a lot. She is healthier now thanks to the transfers. At the moment I now focus on my education and hustling around as she can stay at home all alone."

Joyce
received a $549 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm able to stay at home and work in peace knowing that my children's school fees are well sorted. They used to be in and out of school often because I never had a dime. Right now we can comfortably have a decent meal like any other family. we used to skip a meal so that we can afford an evening meal. I can proudly say that I'm healthier now."

"I expect my life to change drastically in the next six months. This is because I trust my shop project will be running smoothly. Accordingly, I will be enjoying a higher income since I will be operating my shop and doing farming simultaneously. Still, I will be more confident that I can afford to pay school fees for my children following the increased income."
