"I expect that in the next six months, I would have saved enough money from transfers and borrow some from table banking to purchase a dairy cow. This dairy farming will enable me to earn extra income to meet school fees need for my children."

Benta
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"My life will change tremendously because I will have a big house by then that will comfortably accommodate my family. The fear of living under a leaking roof and being rained on during the rainy seasons will now be a thing of the past. My kids will live a more comfortable life where they will have their own room unlike how we live today where we have to share this living room albeit uncomfortably."

"In the next six months, I expect to increase my farming land to a hectare. Savings from the current farm produce and the transfers will enable me to achieve my plans. Jesca
received a $367 second payment.
"I spend my most recent transfer to pay school fees for my daughter who was joining another school. I decided on this because the school she was attending was so far from home and she had to walk for a long distance. At times, I used to take her very early in the morning as I feared for her safety since the road she was was using was very busy since it was under maintenance. I also used part of my transfers to buy iron sheets. I am planning to build an iron-roofed house in my rural home since the one that I currently live in is leaking and it is not comfortable to live in during the rainy season. I also bought a sofa set since I had no seat in my house. Whenever I had visitors, I had to borrow a seat from my neighbor and she was not comfortable with it."

"I expect my life to change tremendously in the coming months. By then, I shall have saved enough to finally buy the building materials which I will be using to build a new house as I have a small house that can accommodate my large family. I would be having a home and my sons would have built their own houses by then."

Joseph
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"In the next six months, I expect to buy sand and cement to plaster the house I currently live in. For years we have been smearing its walls and floor with the cow dung but this is not easy since it always takes my wife a whole day to make the entire house. Plastering my house will relieve her from such a regular but tedious work."

Mwenda
enrolled.
"Financial constraint is my biggest hardship. This is because I lack a stable source of income and solely depend on my husband for a living. He supports me with around 500 shillings a month which is supposed to cater for all needs. However, it is not possible and mostly I focus on the very sensitive needs which are food and healthcare. In this regard, I am not able to meet educational expenses of 70 shillings a Month for my children. Currently I have outstanding arrears of 4000 shillings that accumulated since the previous year."
