Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to pay off some tea plantation that came about from land subdivision. I am planning to top up the current savings and pay it off to allow me use the land.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now an ardent saver now. I had before, tried saving some part of what I usually make but with the so many needs, I really could not manage. Out of the savings I had saved, I was able to build a granary.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to have cleared the debt that I have from land subdivision. Once this is done, I would be able to pluck the tea leaves within the plot and even develop it by building some shops for rental. The transfers from GiveDirectly has and will continue being part of this journey.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have built a granary for storing my farm produce. I used to store my farm produce in our house during the harvest and it was not good because the house was so small and this could cause inconveniences. When I received the money from GiveDirectly I joined a village saving merry go round group that enabled me to be saving some amount. When it was my turn to get the money from group I was able to buy the building and build a granary which has always been my dream. I no longer store my produce in the house like before because I have a granary.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago since I have been able to build a granary for my family. I am now happy since I will have where to store my farm produce in this year. I have always been storing them in my son's house and the maize flour usually has a bad odor due to the being kept on the floor for a longer time. Owning the granary also has helped me to decongest my sons' house hence they can now sleep comfortably.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Before my father inlaw gave his sons their inheritance of the ancestral land, my inlaw had planted tea leaves on a larger portion. After the land was subdivided, she was informed that she will have to surrender a portion of land under tea cultivation to my family. Since I have not been able to pay her for the tea plantation investment, I am planning to use the savings I will be given from our savings group to settle this so that my family can have the full ownership of the land.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Being able to cater for my family needs on time makes me be at peace all the time. Whenever I do not have money, I can easily get the basic needs my family needs from the shop on credit since the owner is always sure that I will pay for them on time. Providing for my family on time is the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will have changed in the next six months since I will be having my own piece of land under tea cultivation. I will be plucking the green tea leaves and supply them to the factory for processing. This will enable me to have a stable source of income which will help me in educating my children.

The achievement that am proudest of is building a house for my family. I work as a casual labourer within the village. This made me so proud and I cannot forget it.
