"In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that I will have bought a goat. This will increase the number of assets that I own. It will be an investment for me because goats usually have a short reproduction period. They normally reproduce twice a year. This means that they will increase in number very fast. I will be able to sell the young ones and use the money to settle my bills."

"Since droughts are still on all over the county at the moment, our goal to buy a large water thank is still our priority. It is our prayer that in the next six months, that goal would have been accomplished. We have witnessed for a long time that during rainy seasons, a lot of water from our roof go to waste, we have a plan to install gutters all around the house so that whenever it rains all water from the roof is directed into the water tank which will indeed save us a great deal when there are no rains. We also have an additional goal to purchase a cow though it will take more time to be realized since we have just started the saving scheme which will help us in raising the money to buy. Thanks to GiveDIrectly for deciding to give us this money bit by bit since we get enough time to plan for every month."

"My biggest concern now is how am going to educate and feed my nine children. Currently, I struggle a lot to put food in the table given that our stores are dry and my husband who works in Mombasa hardly provide for the family. For my two children who are in secondary school, I have not paid even a single cent since the year began. Teachers have branded me a liar and in most cases, they stay out of school. This is something that I need to change once I get my transfers. To achieve, I will start a hotel business at the nearby shopping center. And having owned a hotel before, I understand the tricks and risks that come with it. This is where I will invest a huge part of my transfer in. Secondly, I will pay part of arrears that have accrued in school. I want these transfers to be part of my children stories in their educational growth."
