How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am very happy to renovate my house which is in a better state. The household items acquired give my home a good ambience. Before, I had no household items, then my house was not plastered giving room for rats to create holes to hide within the floor.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving us money that has enabled people to build iron sheet roofed houses, acquire livestock, household items, and pay children's school fees. There's nothing it hasn't done well in my opinion.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was spent to buy building materials to renovate a house. Paid school fees, and bought household items like a mattress and utensils. I also bought a bicycle with this transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means alot to me in that I will construct a permanent house which is iron roofed. The house I am living in is small and cannot accomodate all my family members. My in-laws also like visiting me and I have found it difficult to provide accomodation for them.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is Lunch time. During this time, we as a family are engaged in story telling and chatting as members of the family. This usually happens after we have had our meal
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship Iam faced currently is lack of adequate land for farming. I have only one garden and it cannot produce enough yields or food for the family.
