"I have lost a lot of money maintaining the grass thatch house since its easily destroyed by rats. This has made me unable to save money for providing other neccessities in my family. Therefore receiving this money means that I will be able to build iron-roofed house and thus cutting costs involved in maintaining grass thatched roof."

"Receiving money will mean having well educated children in the family. I will pay school fees for my children on time in order to make sure that they attend school regularly hence good results and a brighter future for them because they will get well paying jobs. Currently, I rely on citrus farming in order to try to maintain them at school which was not successful this year due to prolonged drought which affected the yields, a majority I them were sent home due to non payment of school fees.
In case there is some balance, I will buy some cows that will act as some investment in order to diversify my south of income. That will help me pay school fees for my children when they multiply. I will sell some whole keep some for multiplication purpose."

"Poultry farming has been my greatest desire in my life but because of financial constraints, this dream has never materialized. This has forced me to remain a house wife and my husband is also doing casual work that does not earn him enough to support our basic needs. Receiving this money means fulfilling my inner desires. I intend to start the poultry project which will act as my reliable source of income. This is because through it, I plan to supply chicken at Bamba market and this will earn me more profit. The remaining amount will support me to buy an oxen and ox plough in order to upscale my farming. This will will change my life for the better, a transformation that I have longed for."

"Having a reliable source of income in order to pay school fees for my children is my biggest hardship. I have two children in secondary education and give in primary education. Paying school fees for them at once is my struggle. They are sent out of school some times due to non payment of fees which affects their academic performance. This leads to poor grades which affects their future livelihoods."

"My life has changed in that, I acquired more land for agriculture. In the past, I cultivated on only a half an acre of land because it was the only piece I inherited from my father. This size of land wasn't able to produce for me enough food for my family to feed on. In addition, I wasn't able to afford more food whenever the one I harvested got finished; hence we suffered from hunger in such times."

It usually an expensive process especially when the kids are joining high school. I am glad I was one of the beneficiaries since the money helped me in settling their expenses. I used the profits from my chicken business to settle my other household needs"
