"Receiving this money means I will be able to complete the construction of my house so that my property can be safe. Rats have created holes in the house and they really damage food including beddings. The chance of receiving this money will give me an opportunity to make my walls and floor concrete so that my house is safe."

"I live with my co wife in the same room and our house has been used as a kitchen something that has made it to have a sooty roof. Our plan was to spend $200 to extend an extra room so that we may have separate living rooms and this will mean a comfortable life. In addition to this we will use 100 dollars to buy beddings to replace the old ones since as of now we rarely get better sleep and our health has deteriorated due to the much pains we get from the bed ropes. With the second transfer, I plan to spend it on purchasing 3 dairy cows so that they may multiply with time and also to get milk that we may sell to get income for our upkeep. "

"Being old with no reliable sources of income to support me in meeting my daily needs has ever been my biggest hardship. Despite of being sicky and aged, I am still forced to burn charcoal in order to provide my grand son and I with the basic needs like food. Things like nice beddings and shelter has never been an achieved wish to us due to the harsh financial challenges and we always spend our nights on the floor. This makes our health deteriorating in daily basis because of the endless thoughts of how I will change the living standards of my household."

"The biggest hardship that I face is inadequate land for crop cultivation. I do not own any acre of farm land and all I do I keep on borrowing in order to cultivate some crops. Farming I my only source of livelihood and short of that means starving die to absence of food and inadequate income."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to retrive the piece of land that I leased out so that I can cultivate and get food to feed on.
I will also buy a cow that can reproduce and support me in the future. With this, I will be able to have milk and some other products that I can sell off to raise money in the case that some eventualities arise."

"Receiving this money means that, I can construct an iron roofed house and rent land for agriculture. Currently, I have only two acres of land to cultivate crops which isn't enough. In addition, I want to move out of the thatched to an iron roofed house because rats have always destroyed my roof hence making it leak during rainy seaons."

"My wife fell ill two years ago when she was expecting our first born.Initially it was a normal headache but within a span of one week,It had already affected her eyes.As a result, she lost her eyesight completely.Since then,we have been in and out of hospital trying to get medication. The last visit a year ago diagnosed a growth on one of her nerves which requires surgery to restore her sight. With my little income,I have not been able to raise the required amount which was quoted to be close to half a million shillings.I have also not been able to get assistance from relatives to secure thos delicate surgery.Everything in the home has also been affected by this misfortune since she cannot even tend to our young child let alone all her duties in the home.It has been a struggle which I pray comes to an end one day. This is the biggest hardship I have faced."

"Lack of reliable sources of income has been the biggest hardship in my life. As a sole provider, and having elderly parents who also depend on me, it is always an uphill task to adequately sustain the needs of the family. The only source of income here is charcoal burning and given its hazardous nature to one's health, it is not something that one can comfortably depend on it. Often times, I'm forced to stay in the forest for most days of the week, and that sometimes is unbearable. Receiving this money will enable me to venture fully in farm work and being closer to the family makes it even better."

"The hardship I have faced is inability to meet all the family needs for lack of enough money. Whenever my family members fall sick, they hardly get proper medical attention because I'm unable to afford it."
