"My husband passed away and left me with young children, I struggled to feed them by doing some casual jobs like charcoal vending. The house he left us with fall down due to heavy rainfall and we tried to build a one roomed house atleast to get a place of resting after daily struggle. However, when I receive the money I will use 30,000 to build a 3 roomed house for my family, also 30,000 will be used to buy milking cows which will help me in any financial emergency, The remaining amount I will use to pay school fees for my children and also buying our daily meal."

"When my father died our life condition became difficult.Being the first born,I was forced to drop out from school in class 3 and do some casual job at young age to get food for my family. This happened because our father left us with nothing to depend on. Being unskilled, I am unable to secure a good job that could earn me enough income to support my family. Therefore, I consider lack of a reliable source of income as my biggest hardship I faced in life."

"Since I don't have a cow of my own, my ambition has always been to acquire one. This region is favourable for dairy cows since poor climatic condition has led to low harvest. I am planning to acquire a dairy cow of approximately Kenya shillings 25,000 in which we will use the milk for domestic use and sell the surplus earning us some money. Therefore receiving this money mean I will raise a healthy family and a dairy cow of our own."

"Being unable to sustainably provide for my family made my wife despise me and ran away with my one year old son last year. She now lives with her parents who keep on insisting that I should pay dowry first before taking their daughter back. This is the hardship I face in life given that the money I get from the casual jobs I I engage in can never be sufficient enough to meet their demands."

"I have three cattle in my possession two of which are for my neighbour. I borrowed them in order to supplement my family with milk since I had to sale the ones I had to cater for the school fees of my children. I have a grassland that I normally wish my cattle should be grazing on but I pray that one day I will have a herd of cattle to graze on this field. This is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced."

"I have for a long time wanted to own livestock at my home. Receiving this money will create that opportunity whereby I will buy 3 dairy cows and five goats. Each cow will cost me 150 USD while each goat will cost me 30 USD. My children like taking milk and therefore getting milk for consumption will make them happy. Surplus milk will be a source of income from me when I sell. The off springs from the livestock will then help me pay school fees."
