"Receiving this money means purchasing livestock for rearing. My biggest desire is to educate my children to give them the power to secure jobs. This will bring change to the kind of life my household is going through. I believe they will be able to take care of me at my old age. Therefore, having these animals will make it easy to finance their education."

"Getting food has been a major struggle in my household. When I receive this money, I will use 50 USD to buy food which will last for at least one month. My children also need school fees as schools are scheduled for reopening. Two need college fees while two others are in primary school. I will also buy 3 goats at a cost of 30 USD each. Once they multiply ,I will be able to buy a dairy cow when I sell them."

"Receiving this money will help me complete the construction of my house which has stalled. My son build me the house but was not able to complete. Completing it with my own money will show at least an effort from my side. I will also use 150 USD to buy at least 3 goats. I once reared goats and it was a good venture. This is an opportunity to start all over again. They multiply very fast."

"Due to prolonged drought in this region, access to food security has been the biggest hardship I face. Inspite of having 4 acre piece of land for cultivation, poor harvests have forced me to engage in tedious casual jobs in people's farms so as to buy food for my family of five."

"Expanding my second-hand clothes business is basically what receiving this money means to me. At the moment, my wife is engaged in the selling of clothes but this business has not picked well. I have wished to expand it but due to the financial crisis, my desire has never materialized and I was worried that it will collapse. I am now a happy person knowing that soon I will add a stock of $300 which will assure me of high profit and eventually a stable income. On the other hand, I also plan to buy a wooden bed plus a mattress for $150 to change my beddings since the ones I currently use are rugged and the bed is made of ropes. This will guarantee me a better livelihood since I will be enjoying my sleep."

"I have been aspiring to practise livestock keeping but due to financial constrains, this dream has not materialised. Therefore, receiving this money mean I will be able to fulfill my dream of owning a cow and goats. I am planning to spend Kenya shillings 20,000 to buy a dairy cow and Kenya shillings 10,000 to buy 4 goats. My projection is to milk at least 7 litres of milk per day in which I will sell 5 litres at kenya shillings 30 per litre and use 2 litres for domesctic consumption. This will bring a financial relief in my family."
