"In my opinion it is a good idea to give people cash and let them decide on how to spend it. This has enabled people to improve their lives. I would urge Give Directly to continue doing the good work and I don't feel there is any area to improve on ."

"I spent the second transfer on both ox plough and an ox. It has been a real struggle to raise money for ploughing my farm but am glad I now have my own. Since we are in farming season, it's a good source of income because most people are in need of ploughing labour which I am doing for them at afee. I also boosted my business with part of the recent transfer and I am glad I earn good income from it."

"If it was not for the transfers, I would not have renovated my house. The roof was leaking while part of the walls had fallen off. Thanks to the transfers I currently have a decent secure house . My children too were able to sit for the end term examination, courtesy of the Give Directly transfers."

"If it was not for the Give Directly transfers I would not be having cows. I nolonger spend much on water since I use the cows to fetch water. We have to walk for more than 20 KM in search of water. The cows have made it easier because they are able to carry enough water in the cart."

"My life is currently different from how it would have been had I not received the transfer in that if it was not for the money I would not have constructed a better house. I would still be staying in the poor conditioned house where people could see all my movements because better part of it had fallen off with no door."

"I bought both an ox and a cow for rearing with part of the recent transfer which I have added to the ones I bought with the fir transfer. I will not only benefit from milk but I also have oxen for ploughing. This has saved me from the cost of ploughing labour plus I will earn income by ploughing people's farms. My children too did not have a sleeping place , instead they used to sleep in their grandmother's house. It was not safe for them to walk at night so I constructed a room for them."
