Claris
received a $492 second payment.
"I added the first transfer to the second transfer and bought a motorcycle for taxi services. My spouse is currently operating it for taxi services and I am glad we now have a reliable source of income. Previously, he used to operate someone's motorcycle but he did not earn much from it because they had to share the profit at the end of the day. Our income has now improved and we are able to meet our family's needs."

Martha
received a $492 second payment.
"My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfers in that I have bought a water tank for storing water . I used to walk for a long distance to get clean water for drinking and also for domestic use. This was so tiresome and take much of my time which I could have used to do other chores at home. Currently I have bought a water tank and I no longer walk walk for that long. My children have time to do their homework on time because I no longer sent them to fetch water from the river. During the rainy season my water tank is full and this means I will have enough water for domestic use and for my cows. I have devoted much of my time on my farm. I do plant maize and other horticulture farming. I have enough food for the family and sell the surplus at the market to earn an income to meet other basic household needs."

Augustine
received a $492 second payment.
"In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by giving money to the poor in the community to build better houses, pay school fees for children and also buy food for the family. I do not find anything that GiveDirectly did not do well."

Wadi
received a $336 second payment.
"GiveDirectly is the best NGO that has ever worked in our community. It does well by among other things targeting and enrolling every household in a given village. GiveDirectly also implements its projects in hard to reach villages. There is nothing therefore that i can point at as a weakness that needs improvement in it's service delivery to various communities."
