Nyevu
received a $502 initial payment.
"I spent a larger portion of my first transfer on buying building materials like bricks, twenty-five bags of cement, sand and iron sheets and labour at a total cost of KES 46000. This was for the construction of a new permanent hose since the previous one was a traditional small hut with a leaky roof also, it could not accommodate some of my family members. I later cleared the hospital bill of KES 1000 since I jave been ailing for quite some time and I had no one to take care of me since my spouse passed on so many years ago and my only son also has his own family besides, he lives in a miserable life as well. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuffs for the family"

"Since I took pregnancy for my son and dropped from school, things haven't been too fine for me but after I give birth to him, I have been doing small business but things haven't been working well in terms of the business so the issue of money has been a serious challenge for me and my little son."

"Our major challenge in this home currently is the issue of food because of the lack of money.
Like I said previously, things haven't been fine with my family and my self, we have some of our children staying in the city and going to school the issue with school fees and paying rent for them has been a serious challenge for us as parents."

"Currently I am faced with series of problems, especially the lack of money. As you can see my back, I fell from a coconut tree just two years ago only because I wanted to go sell the coconut as means of providing food for my family. I'm also faced with a health problem, my eyes, I don't really see from a far distance, which haven't been something that I was born with."
