"A home is what my heart longs for. My husband Festus is building us a house which has forced us to live in a tiny house whose roofing is worn out. The construction has taken a while to complete since he retired from his civil duties as a Chief. The little we earn from our small shop caters to food only. How I wish he would get finances so as to finalize this project."

"Because of the current economic challenges, I am failing to attain some things I have always desired. I want to grow my business by buying a bigger battery so that I can service a lot more people since I have become reliable in the village. I recharge phones and run a video show. I also work as a Health Surveillance Assistant (HSA) and travel around the village on a bicycle. It's old and often needs repairs. Food is a problem in that I'm limited to what is available and go long distances to find something different."

"Lack of money is a problem in my home. My son just dropped out of school because we couldn't pay or his school fees. His friends are in form 3 but he dropped out 2 years ago. My husband and I weave mats to sell but that doesn't give us nearly what we need to run the home."

"At the moment, my biggest challenges is money. For us to eat, my husband goes out to look for piece jobs. Sometimes he comes back with nothing and that means there won't be food in the house. Our house has a crack so bad that we are worried it may fall with the rains that just started. Had we had money, we would have fixed it. These two are our biggest worried at the moment."

"My biggest challenge is food and housing. We rely on farming but with yearly low harvests, we harvest enough for a few months and then we start looking for casual work and live off hand to mouth. Our house is not in good condition aside being small. It leaks and has cracks. They need to be fixed but we don't have money for that."

"My objectives for the upcoming three months are to purchase livestock, cover my children's school expenses, and purchase food. My husband and I both hold casual, low-paying jobs that prevent us from fully supporting our families. Putting the money into livestock will benefit me later on when I sell it and use the proceeds to pay my kids' school expenses. Because of the meager amount of money I make, buying food for my family is also a top priority for me. The family won't go hungry thanks to the assistance of this money in purchasing food."

"The biggest difference in my life is that I own and live in a nice iron-roofed house like others in the village. I feel happy and more secure since I am no longer worried about our safety like before when my house was collapsing. Additionally, we can afford meals every day unlike before when we use to seeping hungry most of the time. I am very grateful for the transfer."
