"My family is now decent and happy compared to the past when I had no money. The cash transfers have enabled me purchase clothing and basic needs for my family. secondly, the cash transfer enabled me to purchase a pair of oxen. When the rainy season sets in, I will have enough work force to till and cultivate my farmlands thus improving my agricultural outputs. I will have enough food to feed my family the dry season."

"The biggest difference in my daily life since this transfer has been great. Earlier last year I had lost my mother and my niece who drowned in a river. I spent a fortune on their funeral expenses. I can say that I'm getting back on track with daily chores and rebuilding on what I had lost due to depression. I'm even happier and stronger because this money came at the time of need. i have been able to give hope to my family again."

"My life in the past was a life full of mockery and humiliation unlike the current life. I had a small house and there was no kitchen and this forced me to cook in the same room. Now I managed to build a kitchen which I used not to have before I had no chairs to sit on, and I used to borrow chairs from neighbour for my visitors when they come. This could generate gossip, but now I have bought sofa set and my state of begging is far gone. "

"When I received the transfer it was around 3 pm, I was digging my neighbor's farm for pay. I then received the message notifying me that I had received the transfers. I could not even continue doing that work since I felt that I needed time to go share and celebrate the good news with my family. I could not keep the good news to myself. I then asked for fare from my neighbor and Immediately headed home. On reaching home and sharing the good news, ululation, joy, laughter, and tears of joy rented the hair. We could not wait to have them in cash so we immediately prepared and headed to a nearby center to withdraw the money."

"I always yearned to go to college after completing Secondary school in the year 2017, but due to lack of school fees, i was unable to realize that dream. This has forced me to stay at home and engage in casual labour in order to provide needs for my family. Unstable source of income is my greatest challenge since sometimes i am unable to find any job to do hence a big difficulty in providing basic needs for my wife and children."

"The biggest difference in my life is that I have invested heavily in potato farming. I have spent KES 35000 in investing in potato farming. I have leased land for over 2 years and will be planting potatoes along that period. I expect to harvest potatoes from this farm for over 4 times. It is a very fertile land and I expect a great harvest for sale. The money I will get from it will go towards paying school fees for my children as soon as they join secondary school. It really gives me the joy to do such an investment that has been tested and verified to give lots of returns. More importantly is that my kid's future is secured as far as educational needs are concerned."
