How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have savings. This is a big step in y life because I used to use up all my income because my demands were exceeding my income. I would have a lot of debts because I had to borrow to meet emergency family needs. Right now, I have confidence that my future and that of the family will be better with the transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to plaster my house. I would want to use part of my monthly transfers to buy building materials such as cement and sand which I will use in plaster my house. I want to focus the time on smearing on other family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always desired to have a solar system to help me with lighting at night. I do feel like buying kerosene on a daily basis was costly and I did not have the income to sustain this. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have used part of it on a monthly basis to pay for a solar system which has brought a lot of difference in my life. My children do not strain at night when studying like before when they used to study under a kerosene lamp.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have plastered my house. I would want to use part of my month;y transfers to buy building materials such as cement and sand to use in plastering my house. I would also want to live in the same status as my neighbors.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from it would have been four months ago in that I have always had food in my house. I have been using part of my transfers to budget well for food. Feeding is my biggest problem because I do not have a stable source of income to sustain my family needs. With these transfers, I have been able to buy food in bulk for a whole month which has given me an easy time in feeding my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to plaster. I would want to save part of my monthly transfers to buy cement and sand to use in plastering my house. This is because I would want to make it strong and durable to sustain my family well.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Since I started receiving these transfers, I was able to buy a solar system which has helped reduce my daily expenditure. Before the transfer, I used to buy kerosene on a daily basis which was very costly. Since I did not have any source of income, I felt I was straining to keep up with the family needs. When I started receiving these transfers, I have was able to buy a solar system on a hire purchase basis. I have been paying for it on a monthly basis and I am almost done with the payments. Right now, I focus my daily income on feeding my family. At night my children study in peace and the fear of their health being interfered with from smoke emissions from a kersoene lamp is no more. Thanks to Give Directly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to boost my retail shop business. I would want to use part of my transfers to add more stock to my small business so as to boost the profit. The profit is my income hence if I boost it, I boost my own income to help sustain my needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago I would not have been able to make enough savings leave alone the idea of buying a new solar powered system that I intend to buy within the next few months to come. For me, I believe this will be a very positive step in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Right now I have a target of buying a new solar system because I want to live a life where I do not have to rely on lamps that cannot provide enough lighting in my house during the night hours. My children will also use the light to study during the evening when they get back home from school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been able to use the money to make savings in a table banking group that we formed in the village when the organization came to our village one year ago. Were it not for the organization, I do not think i would have been able to make the savings.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that my life will be different six months from now because I will have been able to buy a new solar powered panel that I will use to illuminate my house. The one I have right now is too small and cannot be enough to illuminate my house appropriately.
