"I spent my transfers to expand my business. I have owned a retail shop in my neighborhood since last year, 2018, in the month of February. I stock commodities such as sugar, tea leaves and cooking flour. My business got to a point where it was not doing well because my needs superseded the profit I was making from the shop. It became difficult to run it as I never made enough money to even restock the business. My husband is unemployed so we both focused on the business which was almost closing down. I was grateful for the support I received from Give Directly as I was able to add stock to my business, to pay school fees for my children and also to purchase some household items and meals in my house. My business is now slowly picking up and doing better than it was doing."
