Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I am focussed on paying school fees for my children. It is my priority now because I would also want to give the best for my children while in school. I expect them to perform well in their examinations and they can only achieve this when they have ample time to study. Paying their fees arrears will mean they will not be sent home for fees arrears as before and will give them the ample time to study.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I built a new house a year ago and I moved into the new house with the old items I had in the previous house. the house would look awkward for me anytime I walked in because I needed to upgrade the items. And because I did not have a good income, I was not yet able to buy new items I lacked in the house such as seats. This is because it took me two good years just to raise money for buying the building materials. Since I started receiving my transfers from GD, I was able to top pay for a good sofa set in our nearby market bit by bit. I was able to buy the first one and even the second one with the transfers. I am glad the feeling I used to have when walking into the house is no more.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to start a small grocery business which will boost my income. The kind of casual work I have been relying on is only seasonal yet the needs of the family are always permanent. This is why I have chosen to look for a permanent source of income which will sustain our needs without much straining and borrowing. I will save part of my transfers in our table banking group and when the time comes, I will even take a small loan in the business just to boost the money to have the right capital I need.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, there is a difference in my life in that I own a kitchen. This means I am able to cook at any time that I intend to unlike before cooking in my main house was hazardous to my family's health which forced me to cook early before the sunsets.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to aim higher and get to my goal of replacing my grassed thatched roof into an iron sheet one. I will save and buy irons sheets in advance.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, I have been living in a one-room house that served as a kitchen, living, and bedroom to my family. Today, I have a different story to tell. I have successfully built a kitchen that I have ever dreamt of. This has been enhanced by buying building materials which included iron sheets, nails, timber and paid laborers to build it using the transfers that were sent. Thanks to GiveDirectly because the kitchen serves as a bedroom for my children at night and a cooking place during the day.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have fixed an iron sheet roof and replace the grassed that one by buying building materials every month with the sent transfer. This is because at the moment the leaky grass-thatched roof of my house is in a deplorable condition which has made it risky for our habitation.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have less stress of school fees burden because I have a shoulder to lean on which is Give Directly. I feel happy and hopeful due to the monthly income I receive from Give Directly. I am a happy woman because my eldest daughter is going to make it because I am paying her fees on time.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have no new goal because I am still concentration on how to raise more money to supplement with what I receive from Give Directly top enables me to support my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Initially, life was tough and most of my children were frequently sent home for school fees balances because I had no money to pay their school fees, the little money that I used to get from casual work could not cutter both food and school fees. I was not happy about it but had no solution. Thus I say thank you Give Directly for having given me a solution to this. Since I started receiving money from Give Directly I am able to pay school fees promptly and my children are no longer sent home because of the fee balance unlike before, I am proud to say that this is the greatest difference in my daily life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six month, I expect to have started an income generating activity like selling fish. I believe I would have an additional source of income that will enable me to improve the living standard of my household.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago since I can easily acquire foodstuffs because I always have money at my disposal. At first, getting money to buy sugar and other foodstuffs was so hard since most of my transfers were going to savings and I hardly remained with some cash to spend on other household's needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in life for the next four months is to renovate my house which is currently not in a good condition. I will spend my subsequent transfers on buying bags of cement and building sand to plaster my house. It will thus be more stable and nice to look at. As a result, it will look more permanent as compared to the old one which needed to be smeared with cow dung every now and then.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months preceding the current transfers, the biggest difference in my life is an increase in my household's livestock possession. Before I only had one cow, however, I added my personal savings to the last four months' transfers and used them to buy an additional cow. Now I have two cows, from which I hope to obtain some milk for sale when they give birth, thus I expect my daily earnings to increase. My family will, therefore, no longer struggle as we used to before GiveDirectly enrolled us in its program.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to see my current house fully plastered and well furnished with a new set of chairs. I have only been using old and weak wooden chairs. I also expect to see my four children going to school without being sent back home due to lack of school fees. As a result, I believe they will succeed in their studies and secure better jobs thus become self-reliant in future.
