I want to use the monthly transfers to improve on the stock, build a poultry house and buy feeds for the chicken. This project shall definitely bring forth a difference in my life and be a gateway to initiating other new and bigger projects."

"Previously I had to work on someone's farm in order to put food on the table. Whatever I earned from it couldn't be enough to feed the family so I was forced to cross over to rift valley province which is neighbouring us to work for them in order to get a good amount of money to meet the family's needs. I'm happy this is not the case anymore because currently, I have a business which I started with the second transfer. I'm glad the business is doing so well and my living standards have improved."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to provide the education needs of my children. I have many children who actually go to school but how to provide for them is a charllage. I do casual labour to earn some money. Some times I am forced to sell off food just to support them. This in most cases has brought about food shortage in my household. "

"About twenty years ago during a rapid spread of malaria, I self medicated and ended up taking an overdose of quinine. I was knocked unconscious and fell into the fire in my hut. My right hand sustained serious burns leading to amputation of my four fingers leaving me with the thumb. This ordeal condemned me to more than a decade of monthly check ups and costly medication. Moreover, it hampered my efforts to undertake any meaningful activity in my farm and it was only until last year that I started working, according to the doctor's approval. My limb has damned me to poverty for such a long time and I feel this is the biggest hardship I've faced in my life."
