"My education journey has been one with a lot of hardships. This is because of lack of school fees.My father did not support me while my mother feel sick and could not do any farm work whereas we depended on farming.I grew up in a polygamous setup and that's the reason my father did not support my education.I was always in and out of school since I had to do casual jobs to raise my school fees.I dropped out of primary school for one year so that I could look for money to pay school fees and register for my final examinations.I also dropped out of secondary school several times to raise money for school fees.I did jobs like looking after cattle.I once worked at a tea plantation for two years when I was halfway through my secondary studies.I came back to complete the two years remaining of my secondary in 2016.By the time I was completing my secondary school studies I was 25 years old.I should have completed at 18 years it were not for the school fees issues. My dream was joining college to study further but this has not been possible.I am now a farmer but I am glad I was at least able to gain knowledge to do and manage my own work wisely."

"I received the message notification early in the morning, I could not believe it at first until I went to withdraw my transfer. It dawned on me that it was indeed true. I was very happy because I knew my life will not be the same again. There were several projects I would have started that would totally transform my life."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house and buy a piece of land that I can cultivate to get food. I believe this will support my household. "

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of a good sleeping house for my family. I have always wanted to build one yet there was no chance. I don't have the capacity to do so because I don't have money. My earnings are too low to raise money that can build a house. "

"I used to own a shop business in my village but I closed down because the owner reclaimed his premises. Since then I have not been able to revive it because I do not have enough capital. I therefore plan to reopen my business using this transfer since I have enough experience to run. This will supplement our family's income and reduce the dependence on my husband. I will also purchase a sewing machine for my niece so that she can be able to have her own income. "
