Edah
received a $22 sixteenth payment.
"My expectation in the near future is to be able to lease a piece of farm and improve my scope of farming. I am a passionate farmer and I always want to do different kinds of farming but I am limited with the small piece of land that we own. The only way then of making this happen will be to lease a separate piece of land and utilize it. I also want to buy an improved breed of a dairy cow in addition to the few that I currently rear. The proceeds from these projects will help me meet my family's basic necessities and ultimately help me better take care of my family."

"Receiving this money will mean that, I can buy livestock, construct a house and buy household items. The livestock will help me to plough my farm land since I don't have any currently. In addition, the house I live is not in a good condition because whenever it rains it floods so building a new house will solve this problem as well."

"I will be able to construct an iron roofed house when I receive this money. It has been very costly for me to always renovate the thatched house I live in due to scarcity of the thatch material. "

"Receiving this money means great joy to me as a youth. The money will help me fulfil my desires such as buying oxen and an ox plough for ploughing. I always face a challenge when it comes to ploughing my garden simply because I don't have oxen and an ox plough. I'm forced to go and work for those who have oxen so that they plough for me as well . The balance of the money will be used to buy household items and two heifers which will reproduce and help me marry in the new future."

"My family currently lives in two very small houses. It is most often congested and cannot accomodate the five members of my household especially when it comes to a sleeping place. My children are grown and also need their own space. Therefore, when I receive this money,I intend to build a bigger house so that this small one can serve as a kitchen.Since this will will only use up sh 30000 (300 Usd) of my transfer,I will use the remaining part to buy a cow for 300 Usd, and four sheep costing 200 Usd.I will then use the rest to offset school fees for my children as well as buy household items."

"School fees has been a burden for me for a long time.I am glad that Give Directly has come at a time that is very crucial.Next year two of my children will be joining secondary school while another will be joining college.I also have one child who is in his final year of college. The money from GD will go a long way in helping my children realize their education dreams. This will take upto 80% of the money.I will use the remaining amount(300 USD) to buy a dairy cow.I have seen the benefit of owning cows since it has helped a lot in the education for my children. With the milk that I sell I will be able to save and pay school fees for the kids. The offsprings also play a big part in paying for the school fees and buying them personal effects."

"My new goal is to be a cake vendor, I want to do it on a larger scale. I will be supplying the cakes in shops and supermarkets. I already know the basics and I know what challenges to expect once I expand it. I have also started marketing my products in the nearby supermarkets and shops. I have hopes that I will soon own the biggest bakery and be the best supplier of cakes."

"I do not have additional goals because I have to finish repaying for the solar lantern loan. I am afraid of even starting a business since it is also a risk, I may end up losing both the capital and end up not paying the loan also. I don't want to take that risk. I might find myself in big trouble in case I try doing that."
