"I will build an iron roofed house and buy a cow when I recieve this money. It has been very difficult for me to renovate the thatched house I live in because the thatch material is very scarce. In addition, the cow will produce for me the milk that I can also enjoy and probably sell it incase am encountered with major challenge."

"The biggest hardship that I face is, I do not own oxen for ploughing of land and early crop planting. I dig with a hand hoe which gives me low returns due to the low pace and hence low incomes at household level. I am a peasant farmer relying on farming as the only source of livelihood, poor yields means low income."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money to take care of the family. I do not have any clear source of income. The little that I am able to earn through casual labour is usually not enough to take care of the household need I am always in a situation of lack."

"Receiving this money means owning additional acre of farm land. I own only an ace of farm land but it is not enough. When I cultivate crops on that land, I will be able to sell part of it and the other will be eaten as food for the household. "

"Givedirectly transfers I will spend on completing my iron-roofed house. I have a big number of children to pay their fees hence can not finish pastering and putting avarander on my house. The rain water is washing a way the wall and may collapse If not attended soon. The house will definitely look nice and strong once it's completed and may stay longer."

"Receiving this money means my family will be able to build an iron sheet roofed house because the grass thatched being used at present leaks during rainy season, and then we pay children's school fees."

"Receiving this money means that I will be able to buy oxen and ox-plough for ploughing. My household depends on crop farming as amajor income generating activity but I just borrow oxen from relatives during planting seasons. This has resulted in to low crop production since I benefit from ploughing at later stages of the season. The oxen once I own will facilitate easy and ealier cultivation and planting hence it may lead to increase in crop production. My household members will be eating and selling some of the produce for providing other basic needs."

"Receiving this money means I can build an iron roofed house. My plot of land is in the urban center which is developing rapidly, so it is inevitable for me to build a permanent structure instead of the thatched which is on it currently."
