"Receiving this money means that I will be able to buy a plot of land. Iam currently staying in a rental and it's quite expensive hence , saving money for other developments is difficult. I will build iron-roofed house both for doing my business and staying. The little I save from my business, I will spend for providing other basic needs in my household."

"I have desired to own goats because these are one of the most valued assets that we who are not working on any job can have. In case of a financial problem, one can sell these animals at a good price and sort their financial issues. And because of this, I decided to spend KES 12000 to purchase six goats, which I am currently rearing in my homestead. I am expecting them to reproduce and increase in number and I am glad that at least I have got some assets to depend in case of any financial problem. To me owning these goats is the biggest difference in my daily life."

"I have been able to build an extension of a single room to my house so that I can comfortably accommodate and stay with my children who have been seeking shelter from the neighbours at night for a long time. I managed to buy building poles, 20 pieces of iron sheets, timber and also paid for the mason for his job. I am at peace now because my children will not be troubled again concerning shelter, which to me makes the biggest difference in my daily life."

"Owning the heifer to me is the biggest difference in my daily life because if I was to buy it at my own cost, then I would have not acquired any. I am expecting it mature and reproduce so that I can have many of them. Through them, I will be saving for the future of my children's education. In addition, I am expecting to benefit from the milk that it will be producing which I can sell the surplus to earn an income."

"My life is good now, my heart is relaxed, I have peace of mind because I paid my children's school fees. I bought a piece of land and I have saved money in form of livestock which I hope to sell in future and construct an iron roofed house. Previously, I was doing business but the money I got was not enough to handle all the expenses that I had. I am so happy to GiveDirectly because they have uplifted families and children' s education. May God increase in GiveDirectly the grace to help those who have not got any help of this kind before."
