"In Mangochi, transport cost is very high if compared to other parts of Malawi. This is the same with transport cost from the village going to Mangochi boma. Although it's a reasonable distance but we pay a fortune. I have never liked the idea on how it is charged on but I have always wish I had my own means of transport. The desire came along when my child got sick in the evening and I was charged double the fare. The coming in of the GD program, has made my life different. With the money, I was able to buy a biscycle. With it I am able to visit places with my family without worrying of transport fare. From the journey, we are able to sleep on a very comfortable place whilst covering ourselves with good beddings, a thing we always dream of but we couldn't have managed to buy in the next 10 years.
