How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has completely transformed, I have developed financially with the coming of this program. With the first transfer I bought a bale of second hand clothes for resell and I must admit that that has sustained me more than I could ever imagine. And now with the second transfer I will have a house I can truly call my own. I am sincerely grateful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion there is nothing in particular that needs to change. All GD processes are transparent and favorable to beneficiaries.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With this second transfer I added 15 more iron sheets to the lot that I bought with the first transfer. As I also await the end of the rainy season, I have made advance payments of 100bricks at the price of MWK10,000 as well as a deposit of MWK60,000 on other house finishing materials. And I am now comfortably using the remainder to feed my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The monent that i saw a notification message that i have received money from Givedirectly i was very happy in and i was also thankful to Givedirectly because i did not expect this to happen in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
With some of the money that i received from Givedirectly i have started a small business of selling second hand clothes which is something i only dreamt of but now Givedirectly will help me to realize that dream. Life is going on good in my family for example we are able to eat 3 times a day because we have enough money from the business i am doing to buy food for us.
