"I spent part of my transfer on buying some building materials which include, iron sheets, building poles, and nails. This was purposely for the completion of my house which I was initially constructing and I did not have enough money to purchase the remaining materials. I later bought a second-hand motorbike specifically for business. I used the remaining amount of money in buying foodstuffs for my family."

"I spent part of my first transfer on buying a pair of oxen. Since I am a farmer I have always wanted to improve the scope of my farming. I have always been dreaming to purchase them but I was not in a position to afford them since they were very expensive. To add to that I bought some iron sheets and nails to finish constructing my house which I was constructing initially. I bought food and other household items using the rest of the transfers and I am happy that my children have enough food to eat."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am living in a permanent house. Previously my house was in a poor state and I did not have any hopes of sleeping under a permanent house anytime soon. This is because of the poverty life that had stricken my household. The money that I was I was earning from the casual jibs was barely enough for the basic necessities, leave alone saving up to build a permanent house. The house has a leaky roof and holes were all over the walls and it was really tough especially during the winter seasons. I am now happy together with my family since we are currently sleeping under a spacious permanent house."

Also, I cleared school fees arrears for my children who are in secondary school. I then boosted my business of selling chicken and shoes in the nearby town center. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuffs for my family."

"Having have renvated mmy house makes the biggest difference in my daily life. Previously I used to sleep under a small grass-thatched muddy hut that leaked a lot whenever it rained. This was so stressing and whenever it could rain we used to stay awake till dawn. In addition this was really affecting my chlrens academic life because they were unable to do their assignments or even study at home. Most of the time they had to study at their friends home. I am now a happy parent because after renovating it, my children can no study peacifully without any difficuloltes. Also we no longer have to worry about the rains."
