"According to me, GiveDiretly did so well by making sure that they visited each household and offered financial support. The majority of us now have decent houses which has been everyone's dream but because of the financial difficulties, we ended up sheltering in grass-thatched houses. Also, we managed to send all our children to school whereby some had even dropped out becasue of the fees arrears. Therefore I do not see any sector GiveDirectly went wrong."

"We face a lot of challenges mostly we don't have enough land for us to farm with this big family of ours we need a bigger land inorder for us to have enough food. Lack of boreholes which result for us to go draw water abit far and we are also very far from the road which make us be behind of knowing things."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly did a perfect job in my entire village and we were all pleased. The idea of sending money directly into our mobile phone was very unique. Each one of us was allowed to choose what to purchase according to what he or she was lacking in life. Also, I do not see any part GiveDirectly failed us."

"Thank you so much for considering me in this program. I am grateful for this. My house is very small and it has a grass thatched roof. The money will help me in building a bigger house thatched with iron sheets. I will use part of the money to buy some beddings, kitchen utensils, some clothes and some bags of fertilizer. I am also struggling interms of transport and intend to buy a bicycle."

"When I received my transfer, I spent KES 20,000 to purchase a dairy cow. I settled on this so that my income from dairy farming will increase when it starts to reproduce. Also, I spent around 10000 to buy three sets of chairs as we did not have any. I am now glad since my visitors will always have a place to sit on comfortably. I spent the remaining amount on food and clothing."

"My life is different than how it would have been had I not received the transfer. This is because I was able to lease and plant 3 acres of land for farming. Due to this, I am glad that my family will have enough food to last us till the next harvesting season this year. Also, through the sale of the proceeds, I will be able to achieve my dream of opening a hardware shop."

"I spent KES 26,000 from my transfer to buy a heifer. I decided on this so that I will have an alternative source of income when in calves. Also, I spent around KES 11,000 to fence my farm. I bought barbed wire, poles and catered for labor. This was my priority so that my crops will always be secured from livestock. In addition to these, I spent around KES 5000 on farming. I hired a tractor for land and planting purposes, bought some hybrid seeds and also paid the person who helped me in weeding. Using the remaining amount, I bought some food and clothes for my children."
