"This means i will be able to buy a dairy cow. I buy milk for my family but sometimes i don't have money to buy since i depend on casual jobs. I expect to cost around 200 dollars. The cow will help us get milk for drinking and commercial if in surplus. I need to expand my house. I have one but its quite small and the family is growing. I plan to spend 200 dollars of my transfer on construction. The remaining amount i will use to feed my family."

"This means a lot to me. I have a grass thatched house which I been living for the past 20 years. When I get this money i would like to build a iron roofed house that will cost around $350. That house will help me in water harvesting. In our area we get water from the river and its not safe for drinking. I normally buy drinking water from water kiosk in the nearby town which sometimes hard due to financial constraints. I also have children in school and i need to pay their school fees. I have fee balance of $900. The rest of the money will then go to expand my business so as to generate more income."

"Receiving this money means an improved standard of living in terms of shelter and food security. My priority is building a two roomed house which is spacious and good enough for my family of four children. My current house is in a bad condition which poses a health risk to my children especially during the cold and rainy season. The roof leaks and the walls are porous. The house will cost me approximately 400 USD. My second plan is buying two oxen and a plough at a cost of 400 USD. This will expand my farming activities which will definitely lead to more yield."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in life is the transportation of charcoal since it is the economic activity that I engage in. I have 4 children whose basic needs should be met and the job that I do gives little income due to the transportation problem. I have been struggling to transport them to nearest town using motorcycle which is so tiresome and it only capable fo carrying just 3 sacs of charcoal which gives little income plus exhaustion.most of times I fail to fulfill my duties as husband."

"I did not attend school because my father did not see any value in attending school. I had to remain at home to look after his cows. With changing times and more people getting educated, competing with them in order to get on with life and earning an income is a challenge. I can say with this, I have not attained any financial freedom because I still have to work hard since I do not have a job, to fend for my family, educate my children and also get something to save."
