"I am a leper and have difficulties in walking and doing some jobs because of my condition. Having been enrolled into the program, I believe the money will help to renovate my old house and also put up a nice roof so that it stops leaking during Heavy rains. I also intend to buy enough food and fertilizers for my garden so that I harvest enough food next year."

"I have been living in the same mud house I found here when I got married. Currently it's waak and two of it's walls collapsed recently during the last rainy season. I would like to repair this house first off when I get this money. This is by reinforcing and cementing walls, buying a bigger solar panel to accommodate more light bulbs, as well as getting some new seats totaling to about 65000 KES. When all that is done, I would also start a business to eek out my husband's income."

"I am more than happy having been enrolled into the GD program, I believe that through this program, I will be able to construct a new house since the one I currently have is mud built and is grass thatched which makes it prone to falling during heavy rains. That alone worries me big time."

"My main aim has been my children going to school so they can have a bright future. My oldest child who is 17 years old used to attend a very strict and good boarding school but since we had no much money I was unable to continue paying his school fees. He went to a day school which he quit after a while of having so many disciplinary issues. I had been unable to take him back to a school where he would be able to study such as the first school he was in and had promised myself when I get money that would be able to pay for the school feed of such a school I would do so. I am so happy now that my son is back to school. I am able to send small amounts of money whenever I make any money which will help him complete his primary school education."

"I have three children who are in primary school. Their education is my priority at the moment. I want to reach a point where I can easily pay school three terms prior and not be worried anytime schools open. We have been struggling to pay their school fees since I depend on my husband's income who is a casual worker. What he manages to earn we use to buy food and what is left can then cater to school fees arrears."

"I wanted to marry a wife since I no longer had a wife as my wife left since I hadn't paid for her dowry. Now I have no wife. The two main issues I wanted sorted out for these transfers were to get a wife as well as biuld a house for myslef as I have not had a good house. Sleeping in my house could be equated to sleeping outside. I had had this goal previously but I lost alot of money in a deal that went wrong."

"Financial constraints act as the biggest challenge we are facing as a family. Imagine struggling to educate your children and eventually seeing them struggle to survive after completing their studies? My daughter is stressed up because she has never been employed and has not managed to start up a business after completing her studies. She is a tailor by profession, but we have no capital for funding her dream business. Also, my eldest son has not joined college to further his studies because we do not have the needed funds. These pain me a lot."

"Receiving this money means we shall have peace of mind as a family. This is because I will utilize the transfers on taking my eldest daughter to polytechnic to pursue her dream course in tailoring. I have been having sleepless nights since she dropped out of school due to prolonged ailments (she has been suffering from a unique disease because her head would swell and doctors could not diagnose it). Ensuring that all my three children lead their desired lives and pursue their dreams is a great achievement."
