"No, I do not have any other new goals because the ones that were in mind, I was able to accomplish. Having the goats is all I had desired to have on my homestead. I settled for them because they reproduce twice a year which is an assurance that k will have many of them within a short period. I will be able to keep and sell some in case of any emergency."

"What GiveDirectly does well is giving us unconditional cash transfers so that we can plan for ourselves. Previously, the poverty levels in my village was so evident and now that person were able to plan for themselves, everyone got what they need, some build houses, others bought water tanks, others bought livestock among other things. We are so grateful for the support."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does a splendid job in my village. The fact that the cash transfer was sent directly into our Mpesa account stood out. Each one of us was given the chance to choose what we felt was necessary for our households. On the other hand, I do not see any sector that GiveDirectly failed us."

"I spent KES 40000 to buy a dairy cow. This is because I didn't have a cow or any livestock in my household and I used to envy my neighbors who had dairy cows and they would get enough milk for family consumption and for sale. Luckily when I went to the market to buy a cow after I received my transfers, I spotted a heavily pregnant cow which I bought and it gave birth after after some few days. Nowadays, I nolonger have to buy milk from my neighbourhood for my family so I save on that and I also earn some income after selling milk. I spent the balance on buying uniform and clothes for for my kids ."

"My goal has always been to broaden my sources of income. I would like to invest more in goat farming when I receive this money. Goats do well in this semi arid region compared to cows. The main aim of investing in goat farming is to help me educate my children in future. I have three goats already and my plan is to add 5 more. My budget for this is 25,000 KES. I will then use 15,000 KES to buy a bed and a matress. My matress is old and I do not have a bed. I have never had the privilege of sleeping on a bed."

"I have been yearning to get my own source of income instead of fully depending on my spouse. Receiving this money will help me achieve that. I will invest 25,000 KES in goat farming. My plan is buying at least 8 goats for a start. I will be grazing the goats myself since I am usually free and it does not require a lot of effort. I see this as a good investment that will help me educate my children and help me during emergencies like medication."
