"The achievement I am most proud of is having built a bigger house for my family. I used to stay in a very small grassthatched house that was only one room. Sharing sleeping space with my husband and children was so disturbing. But now I am proud to say I own a bigger iron roofed house. At least my children sleep in the living room while I and my husband sleep in another room "

"The biggest hardship I have faced in life is being left an orphan. After my parents died I was forced to live with my aunty who mistreated me so much. She made me do all the house chores and beat me. She never took me to school. I had to escape and come back to the village and start fending for myself yet I did not even have a job."

"The achievement I am proudest of in my life, is being the only youngest son among three sons, who is married and happily living with a spouse. This status has earned me respect from my brothers, since they occasionally consult me on matters regarding our family affairs."

"My biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life was when I dropped out of school after my kcpe exams in 2010,because my parents could not afford to pay my secondary school fees ,it has really been a big challenge getting a good job because of my education background, this has really made me sad, because if I had gotten a good education my life would have been better"

"When i was in form three.i suffered a strange illness which made me be on and off from school.I would come home for a week ,seek medication and go back to school only to fall sick again and have to go back home. This happened severally with visits to different hospitals not being of much help.Eventually,i was treated by a specialist in Tenwek Hospital and recovered fully. This affected my studies because there is some coursework i was unable to cover while away. This is the biggest hardship i have faced"

"In 2013,i was diagnosed with anaemia and admitted at Kaplong Hospital. This became a very difficult period for my family because in the two weeks which i was there, the hospitall bill accumulated to sh 32000 which was hard to raise since we had no source of income. My young children too had to skip school because there was nobody to take care of them while I was away. This is the biggest hardship i have faced"

"In 2016,my husband who was the breadwinner in our family fell sick and died after six months. This was the biggest hardship for me because at that time my children were in school and needed resources to sustain them.I even had two children sitting for National exams in that year and it was a very emotional moment for all of us because we were left alone by someone who always provided.Going forward,i had to stand in the gap and work extra hours to be able to feed and educate my children"
