"Passing my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams for me is the greatest achievement I am proudest of. Despite studying in a remote school and experiencing a lot of challenges-like lack of school fees, long distance between home and school etc, I still managed to excel in my final exam. "

"Last year I had to pause going to school due to lack of school fees. I stayed at home for 3 months praying for assistance to come from someone. When help finally came, I had missed many class lessons and I had a lot of catching to do. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced. "

"The biggest hardship I have ever experienced was lack of school fees especially when I was joining secondary school. This led to delay in entering form one and I largely missed the whole first term. So, I had to try as much as possible to catch up with my colleagues and this largely contributed to my dismal performance in my end of term examination. "

"My greatest achievement that I am proud is educating my children despite being a small peasant farmer. All my children managed to go up-to form four level. Two of my children are still in school and God willing I will educate them up-to that same level "

"The biggest hardship I have faced was when I got married three years and my spouse didn't have a house and bedding to sleep on, so we used to spend at a neighborhood's house since my he(my spouse) was a casual labourer with low income."

"The achievement I am proud of is that I managed to saved Ksh. 30,000 through table banking and I used my savings to buy seats, bedding for my house as I used to sleep and sit on the floor."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in life is lack of money to educate my grandchildren who are orphans. Education is the best inheritance a parent can give to a child. Being unable to provide this sometimes makes me feel unhappy."

"My proudest achievement in life was passing class eight exam and becoming one of the few girls that were able to join secondary school. I feel so motivated in working hard enough and making it to university."
