Passing my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams for me is the greatest achievement I am proudest of. Despite studying in a remote school and experiencing a lot of challenges-like lack of school fees, long distance between home and school etc, I still managed to excel in my final exam.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on furthering my post-secondary education and buying personal belongings.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am back from school and finding my mother already cooked for me. I share a table with my mother and my two siblings as we take supper. Later I revise my school work and then sleep.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Not long ago, I went through some tough times together with other family members whereby we couldn't afford some basic needs like food. I could go the whole day without food and some days also sleep hungry. Going to school on an empty stomach was like a 'norm' of the day. Luckily those days are over after our first born child got employed and he gives me support as I continue schooling. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced.
