Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I plan to keep on paying their arrears so that I may clear the balance as soon as possible. Nothing will please me more than kwhen my children passing their examinations because I was able to clear their fees arrears in time. This will give them ample time in school to studey.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have been able to pay school fees for my children in time. In the past, I used to struggle to pay for their fees in time because I had very little income from casual work and farming as my main source of income. The income was not even enough to meet our usual family needs and in most cases, I would have to borrow to ensure we even have food in the house. This is why my children were being sent home frequently. I was not happy with the condition but because it was the situation I was in, I had to keep working hard. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, I have been paying for their fees on a monthly basis which has really brought a very big change. I have not managed to clear their arrears but I have managed to pay the bigger [art of their arrears. I am glad they are rarely sent home for fees arrears.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will be different in the next six months in that I will have started a business. I have depended on a small income from casual work and farming for long. It is time I get a chance and work smart to earn a good income to help me meet my family needs. I could not do this in the past because I was focussed on ensuring my children are in school studying. Now that I am handling the fees arrears situation, I want to start a business which will sustain our needs from the profits. I know when the business picks, I will get a good income and will always use part of the profits to boost the business by adding more stock so that I can earn a good income to help me meet my needs and that of the family without straining.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
In the last four months, my harvest has increased because of GD transfers. Apart from using the transfers to lease in land for farming practices, I have also been using the transfers to buy farming inputs such as hybrid seeds and fertilizers. As a result, my harvest has increased from 5 sacks to 12 sacks anytime I harvest. This has made a whole difference in my life because I do not strain to feed my family and I can sell some to get an extra income to handle my needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I plan to start a business. This will have a stable source of income which will help meet all my needs in time. I do not want to strain through farming as I have always done in the past. I would want to have another income to help me meet my needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always had farming as my main source of income. Since my husband did not inherit much land, I have not received much help to accomplish my farming needs. The piece of land we have been using for farming has always been my main obstacle to getting the desired harvest. This is why I chose to be using my transfers for leasing in a piece of land for farming purposes every season. As a result, my harvest has increased and I do not strain as I used to before the transfers in meeting my family needs because I can sell part of my harvest to raise money to meet my needs
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to buy building materials which I will use to put up a new house in my own compound. It is time I have my own home according to my culture and would want to use the opportunity granted to me by GD through the transfers to finally have my own home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because like I mentioned before, I recently got a bumper harvest from my farm which makes it easy for us to have a balanced diet and also feed comfortably without worrying where the next meal will come from. Currently, I am to get almost everything from my farm as opposed to how I used to buy every little thing from the market, which at the end of the day was quite costly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to embark on a new project of putting up a nice, spacious and comfortable house that can easily accommodate my family. I am currently living in a small house that can barely have all of us fit in it. Moreover, the house is so old and in such a dilapidated state that it can collapse anytime, which makes it risky for us to continue staying in such a place.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I recently got a bumper harvest from my farm which I now use to feed my family, so I do not have to buy maize from the market like I used to do in the past. It will take pretty long before I run out of food stock. In addition to that, I had to toil in the past by working on other people’s farm in order to get a small token at the end of the day; however, I am proud to say that I no longer rely on such casual jobs. In the event that my kids are sent away due to fees arrears, then I have the privilege of selling out some of my maize products in exchange for cash.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that six months from now, I will have started buying building materials as well as laying plans on how to put up the new building for my family which is now forced to seek shelter in this small old structure.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Secondly, I have been able to pay school fees for my son who joined secondary school this year. I do not know where I would have got the money the money to buy school requirements such as uniforms, books, pens, sock and shoes for my son. This is because my income from casual work was very little and could not sustain all my needs. I thank God for GD because I was able to take my son to school in time without any delays and struggles. I find peace in my life now and makes me very happy.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to buy building materials. I would like to have a decent house form the one I have now. The one I have is grass thatched and is too small which is uncomfortable for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I been getting a good harvest. Farming is the main activity in our area and I could not succeed in it because I did not have enough land to farm. I only inherited half an acre from my father-in-law which is not enough. The harvest from the land has been very little and cannot sustain my family needs since that is the only source of income I have. Since I started leasing in a piece of land with GD transfers, I have always had a good harvest though not much but better than what I used to get from my half an acre piece of land. I have always had enough to feed my family which makes me very happy.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to start a business. I have not yet decided on the kind of business to do but I know with a business, I will have a stable source of income which will enable me to buy land both for farming and where my children will build their houses when they grow up.
