"The biggest hardest I have faced in life is the inability to access good mediacal care for me and my children, despite the fact that there is free mediacal care at government aided hospitals, most of the time I have visited those health units they have refered me to buy medicine using my own money which money in most cases I have not been having and this means going back home to treat my children using local herbs which has been risky to my family."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in life is that most of the time my children have been sickly and accessing treatment for them has always been hard though there is free medical care in government health facilities, most the time doctors have been refering me to buy medicines to private health facilities and yet our income levels are very low."

"I remember back in 1962 when I was in primary school class seven when I fell sick.I was diaognised with tuberculosis and had to seek medication at Tenwek Mission Hospital.This medication did not help much and had to resort to traditional herbal medicine.I later realised I had a lung tumor and started medication using the same traditional herbalist.These health problem persisted for over ten years and hampered my ability to work in my farm.I felt that I wasted this years but all the same I thank God that I felt better and now seeing myself at this age is a blessing."
