"The biggest difference in my life is that, i now sleep in a comfortable bed, unlike before when I did not have a bed and when it rained my bed would get soaked with water and I would not sleep the whole night. I have been able to pay my children's school fees early and also pay for their school requirements in time without any stress of hustling to look for money, previously my children would lack books, pens, uniform and school fees,I had a lot of stress because it was difficult to get this money,I am now stress free and happy."

"It's very good to see that my living conditions and and standards have changed. Formally, I was sleeping in a leaking semi petmanent house but Givedirectly through my first transfers had enabled me to buy cement to renovate the house I was sleeping in. I had also acquired household utensils in order to have hygienic living conditions that have been lacking in my home. When a vistor came to my home, I would feel a shamed to draw water for the visitor because I did not have presentable cups for drawing water. I used to sleep on the floor but now I sleep on a bed and my children are clothed well compared to the previous days."

The remaining amount, I spent on food for my family and also bought decent clothes for my children."

"I spent a portion of my third transfer on livestock, that was, 2 oxen for ploughing and a donkey for fetching water. I lived in a very dry region where streams were a bit far from residential homes. This therefore called for long journeys in search for this precious resource. Having a donkey to aid in this was the best decision ever. Other than those, I paid school fee for my children in school."

"I am not used to taking milk tea because I did not have the cows and I did not have the money to buy the milk. Black tea was the order of the day in my house. I am happy this will be a gone case soon as I spent part of my third transfer on buying two cows for milking. I also spent part of it to take my son for a mechanical course. I am happy he will be able to depend on himself after acquiring the skills. The remaining amount I spent on buying a water container being that my area is dry and there is always water shortages. This is my water reservoir. I appreciate the work done by GiveDirectly."
