How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am glad my self-esteem, as well as my children's, have been regained because nowadays we can afford to put on decent clothes unlike before. Today, we are able to fit in at our neighbors and friends company as compared to before when we felt left out because of the old and shuttered dressing code we had. Having furniture like a cupboard that I never knew I could afford gives me and my family members a great sense of joy and happiness. They are currently the difference I have gotten out of GiveDirectly's transfers for the last four months and I feel so proud having accomplished this.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save jointly with my spouse. The saving will be used to expand my house. I believe having a spacious house shall provide a room of comfort most especially when I have visitors.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have enrolled my child in nursery school. This was our biggest hardship because raising school fees to take her to school was really hard for us yet he had reached the school-going age. We entirely depend on my spouse's income which is a motorcycle taxi business and he earns on commission. Therefore, enrolling her in school was not materializing due to the little income. I am glad that GiveDirectly's transfer has made it possible for my child to start schooling.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the next six months, I ought to have saved enough money that will facilitate the construction of my new decent house. When this plan has come to pass, I will no longer have to take my visitors to my mother's in-laws house and chat because my present house is small and cannot accommodate them.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was because I used to really squeeze my daily budget to meet my needs. This meant rationing food for my household members so that everyone could get a share. My children looked malnourished and this was discouraging. But now there is plenty of food enough for even impromptu visitors as well. My children look healthy and well taken care of.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to expand my house and buy a few household items. This will make my house more hospitable.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months in that I am independent and do not have to ask my husband for money to meet my personal needs. I started a business which earns me some income. I am at peace knowing that besides GiveDirectly's transfers I have an additional source of income to help me manage my financial needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy building materials for constructing a new house. I am planning to buy iron sheets, poles, nails and wood for constructing the new house. I am currently having a small single-roomed house which has really limited my privacy. I am planning to build a bigger house with separate bedrooms for our children and us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is starting a small scale business. I have been using the profit earned from the business to sustain my basic needs. I am now assured off having money to spend on buying my children clothes and stationery needed in school.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have built a new house. I have a small house which is so squeezed and cannot even allow me to add more furniture and other household items. I will be having a bigger house whereby my children can have their separate room for keeping their belongings and spending their night. I also expect to buy more stock to boost my business so that it earns me more income to continue improving my living standards.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
With the transfers that I have been receiving, I have been able to properly provide for my children. My children are now well fed and rarely go hungry like was the norm before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, my business will be more stable and I will be more independent and able to assist my husband more with the family responsibilities.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am sure if I had not received money from GD, my business would have probably collapsed by now because it is not easy getting a loan from friends.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I am planning to save the money and some of my profits so that I can purchase a few household items such as seats and water storage equipment.
