What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In the year 2011, unknown disease attacked our maize plantation which greatly reduced on our production yet we entirely depend on maize for survival. Since then, there has been no remedy for this desease forcing us to opt for dairy farming which is also a challenge in terms of the small size of land and lack of water.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning after seeing a new day, waking up healthy and ready to face the day's activities.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
We have been desiring to increase the number of livestock and receiving this money mean we will be able to fulfill our dreams. We currently own one cow which is hardly enough to cater for the entire family's needs and that is the reason we have to add at least one or two dairy cows.
