received a $436 second payment.
"I decided to invest in livestock keeping when I withdrew the money from the second transfer. I went along this path because it does not disappoint. After all, livestock does procreate, and if necessary, they may be traded for money. Thus, I spent $420 to purchase ten galla goats.
This gives me confidence that I will soon have a sizable flock and that it will help me to support my family. Because of the harsh climate in our area, I preferred goats to cows. Goats can endure. After that, I bought meals for my family using the remaining money."

"My cow gave birth to a calf, it was a blessing as I didn't have money, I sold the calf and was able to pay school fees for my grandchildren. This has brought me alot of joy as I watch them go to school comfortably without being sent out for school fees."

"I am really pleased that GiveDirectly has exposed numerous members of the neighborhood. Several people have constructed homes, sent their children or sponsored themselves to school, founded businesses or even expanded existing ones, purchased cows, and generally improved the town. Not a single complaint"

"The first thing I'm planning to do is to buy a pig that will help me to get manure and it will cost $100. The other is to renovate my house as you can see it has no doors for rooms and cover it with sand and cement. Those activities will cost $200. In addition,I will buy a cow that will help me in the future, because when you have a cow you have money, you can meet an emergency that needs money and sell the cow without forgetting that it will hep me to get manure also. The cow will cost $200. The rest of money will be spent on household needs like mattress and food stuffs."

"In order to boost my income, I intend to purchase another milk cow so that I can sell it to my neighbors when it calves. My children will also have access to sufficient and high-quality milk. Their health will advance as a result. I also intend to start raising chickens. I now have a few, and I hope to expand my flock by getting additional layers so I can sell their eggs and boost my income."

"After learning about the advantages of dairy cows, I intend to get another one this year. We'll have four of them when I buy another cow since the current cow is yet to have a second calf. This will guarantee me a steady supply of milk each year, making it easier for me to pay for my kids' future tuition."

Sharon
received a $421 second payment.
"I was inspired to buy a dairy cow because the dairy products company opened a branch right next to our house, ensuring that there would be markets for our milk. As a result, I am thrilled since the dairy cow I purchased with the most recent transfer for $300 is about to give birth. As I am the only source of income for our family, the money I will get from milk sales will help our finances. Because my physically challenged child requires constant supervision, I am unable to engage in a variety of economic activities. Thus, it will be a relief to receive milk revenue. We utilized $50 of the $230 I had left to buy food that would last us for a while, and the rest was used to launch a maize sales business. I appreciate the help because it helped me out financially."

"I invested $250 in a dairy cow in the hopes that after it gives birth, I will be able to receive milk for my family and for sale too. Three of our children attend school, and occasionally it can be difficult to pay their tuition. Our main source of income is their father, who rides a motorcycle, but his income is insufficient to meet all of our demands. Thus, we value your support and thank you for it. In addition, I contributed $240 to help build a new house. The previous one we had was too small to accommodate the five of us. Due to its modest size, sleeping arrangements were particularly difficult for us. Our children used to sleep in our old house, but now that we have another house, they do not. We now have peace of mind and privacy thanks to this. I bought some clothes for my kids and several tins of maize with the $35 I had left over."
