"I invested most of my third transfer on crop farming. I have always been a crop farmer though under small scale, therefore when I received this transfer, I enlarged the farming. As we speak, I am expecting very good returns from the crops. Besides that, I purchased 34 pieces of iron sheets which I planned to use in construction of a new house to replace the old and tiny one that I had occupied for the last 10 years. I am so glad today that GD has really raised my life to a higher level."

My current house is made up of iron sheets and very hot during the day and also extremely cold at night. I am just waiting for my husband to come back to the village so that we can start up the construction."

Albarn
received a $486 third payment.
"I have a grandson who in secondary school and the mother is not able to pay his school fees being that she is unemployed, so most of the third transfer I spent paying his school fees. The little remaining out of it, I spent on feeding my household members. I bought corn as at that time there was hunger and the prices of flour had escalated so much. My family could now comfortably feed on the corn. I would only encourage Give Directly to continue helping others like me, I am so grateful."

"I spent my third transfer on the acquisition of a solar panel which comes which comes with three bulbs,a radio and a torch. I now save the money that I used to buy paraffin with. I am also able to listen to news and other programs via the radio that came with the solar panel. Formerly I used to buy paraffin on a daily basis which was expensive. I also built a kitchen with the remaining part of the money. I used to cook in the main house which does not have a kitchen."

"My parents passed on, and we were left orphans and being the firstborn, I was left with the responsibility of taking care of my siblings who are in secondary school. , so I paid their school fees using part of the third transfer. Previously I had to do odd jobs to ensure their fees is paid. I am happy I was relieved of this hustle. I also bought a cow and sheep that I am keeping. This God willing will multiply and will act as my source of income when I sell them."
