Esther
received a $440 second payment.
"The cash transfers enabled us to pay off an accumulated debts. We reclaimed our two pieces of farmland after clearing a huge debt. I am glad that part of the cash transfers was spent on treating my sick child who was hospitalised for about three weeks.
Before receiving the cash transfers, we hardly had money to buy enough food and other school necessities.
More so,my children would fall sick regularly and yet we did not have money to access better medical services. I had to beg the school headteachers not to chase away my children."

John
received a $440 second payment.
"The cash transfers enabled me to reclaim my farm land after clearing a heavy debt burden.
I am fortunate that the cash transfers empowered me to acquire livestock that I never had before. Incase of any emergency, I can sell one of the livestock.
Prior to receiving the cash transfers, I had one small piece of farm land that could not yield much. In addition to this, I was helpless, with no property such as livestock."

Agiripina
received a $440 second payment.
"At my old age, I am very grateful that I was among the beneficiaries. My life is much different in that I built a two roomed house. More so, part of the cash transfers was spent on clearing my medical bills.
Previously, I would fall ill but could not afford any medical treatment. I was sleeping on tattered bedding.
However, I am very delighted that the cash transfers empowered me to acquire bedding and more so construct a house.

Luvuno
received a $544 initial payment.
"I have been living with a peaceful mind since I spent part of my first transfer on building a new house that I currently live in. previously, I was staying at my parent's in-laws house and to me, I felt I and my family members were a bother to them because we had occupied a larger part of their house. Having a decent and a bigger house is the biggest difference in my daily life because it has always been my biggest dream."

Linet
received a $23 sixteenth payment.
"In the next six months I expect my life shall have changed in that I shall have acquired a title deed for our farm. Getting a title deed for any piece of land bought can be hard sometimes but I am optimistic that we shall be able to raise the money needed to process it and be able to acquire. It is then hat we can be able to make decisions on how to put the piece of land into good use. In the next six months, my two children shall have as well cleared their secondary education and we will be making preparations for them to join tertiary institutions. This requires a lot of money and we are thinking about how to raise the money."

Peter
received a $23 twelfth payment.
"I expect in the next six months, my life to change with the dairy cow that I shall have bought because it will provide enough milk hence I won't buy milk from other people in the village as I do right now. At the same time, I will sell the surplus milk to make an extra income and use the money to provide for my family's needs with ease."

Mercy
received a $23 sixteenth payment.
"Since I have many projects running at the moment, my only hope is to see their completion with time. The main one I have is the plan to purchase a heifer which to me will come to pass in the next six months. I am praying God that all plans I have put in place towards it will not fail and at that, I will be in a position to be owning two cows at the end of the year."

Hapsa
enrolled.
"Dropping out of school due to lack of financial support is an unimaginable thing to any child who values education. This is what happened to me four years ago when I was in class seven. My parents could not meet my educational needs together with that of my siblings. We all ended up quitting school, a situation that crushed our dreams of attaining the highest level of education and subsequently bettering our lives and that of our children. But look at me now, a mother of two at the age of nineteen, married to a motorbike rider. I am glad things are going to be better once I receive my transfers, I will ensure my children never lack school fee by investing in livestock rearing. With my tailoring business up and running, life is going to be better."

Cynthia
received a $544 initial payment.
"I was awoken by my in-law sister who decided to come to my house after receiving the transfer. I was deeply asleep and my sister in law knocked my door trying to ask if I had received the transfer, I immediately turned to my phone and to my biggest surprise I found a message notification that I had received money from GD. I was heartily thankful given the reflection of the hard life of a single jobless mother had been to me that I an helping hand had shown up to me."

Gilbert
received a $544 initial payment.
"I have been living with humble and peaceful minds since I spent part of my first transfer on my children school fee and on building a new house that I currently live in. Among the biggest goals that I had for my life is to give my children good education and building a new house that I could live in order to have better comfort than spending my nights with grown-up children. I am a casual laborer and I always priorities my children education among my family needs since it is always my goal to see them a better life in future than mine but due to little wages I earn I could find my children being sent home during school terms since I could not clear their fee on time. I had also always felt uncomfortable spending my night under the same roof with children because I was not able to build another house due to lack of enough resources. I had always worked under a lot of pressure to meet this two goals but I am happy currently that I have humble and peaceful minds since I have settled the school fees for my children on time and have a better and different house to spend my nights in unlike before."
