Getrude

"My life is much better because I have repossessed my farm land. Next season I will not hire farm land the way I did in the past. Secondly, I now have enough lighting in my house as opposed to when I used a torch which was costly because I bought dry cells oftenly."

Lucas
received a $39 eleventh payment.
"Previously I used to hawk on the streets of Nairobi to earn a living but it had a lot of challenges with low income. It was always hard to raise money to cater comfortably for my basic needs such as paying for the house rent considering that my business was not a reliable one. When I received these transfers, I was able to save up which helped me put up a temporary structure as my selling station where I added more stock to the ones I had. I feel that this business is better than hawking because I get more customers and do not get tired from walking a lot. I currently enjoy a higher profit which has greatly made my access to basic needs and services much easier. I feel I am relieved of the heavy burden of my daily household needs."

Kache
enrolled.
"To have a decent house is the biggest dream that I have always desired to achieve. My grass thatched house is leaking making it difficult to shelter during rainy seasons. There are some instances that I had to shift my children in the middle of the night to find shelter in my neighbour's house. It is also the same house that serves as a kitchen and the smoke negatively impacts our health. Living in such a condition gives me depression. I therefore plan to build a better house because I cannot stand the suffering anymore. I will also purchase 2 dairy cows and this will mean a constant supply of milk in my village. This will earn me sustainable income that I will use to finance my family needs."
