Joseph
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"I used most of the money that was recently sent to me to pay my house rent for the month to avoid having any issues with my landlord who usually does not like it when one fails to pay his rent on time. I then gave out the rest of the money to my nephew who is an orphan so that he could buy some of his personal needs being that he is a teenager who may attempt to get involved in other dangerous means of raising money for his needs."

Mathews
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"Receiving these transfers have positively transformed my life as I can now boast of having a stable income from my businesses which have grown to their current state all thanks to the transfers. The transfers enabled me to expand my initial business on onions, which in turn boosted my savings that allowed me to buy a motorcycle which I have leased out at a daily fee. I feel more responsible as I am now able to confidently provide for my family."

Cynthia
received a $22 seventeenth payment.
"Once I join college, I will be able to expand my knowledge and be able to become successful in the future once I have my own business up and running. Of course, just gaining knowledge alone is enough change in my life."

Joan
received a $540 initial payment.
"It had always been my prayer to build a spacious house that can accommodate all my family comfortably. My spouse and I had not been able to achieve or even save some money to use in achieving it due to the lack of an adequate source of income. I lived in one house that acted as our kitchen as well as a living room. As a result of this, I always shied of inviting my friends or welcoming visitors as they had to stay in a smoky house. Being able to achieve my long-desired goal of building a spacious house for my family is the biggest difference in my daily life. This has greatly changed my life as it has brought back my lost self-esteem in society. We currently enjoy the comfort that had faded away in our family."

Joseph
received a $22 twenty-first payment.
"I will use the savings to buy a cow within the next six to nine months. The main reason why I want to purchase the animal is to be able to pay my dowry debt which has taken me quite some time to fulfill."

Michael
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"Am very happy with the current position of my business as it provides for most of my needs through the profits I realize from it. What I am not satisfied with is the area of trade which is temporary and associated with low prices. No customer can pay a decent amount for any product in this area which forces me to sell the clothes at a lower price. I am hoping that I will one day move to a better commercial centre where there are better offers on commodities which means better profits. For this reason, I am now doing my best to save enough money to rent a stall near the lavish estates where other friends of mine in this line of business have confessed to be making better profits."

Moses
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"When I started receiving these transfers, I teamed with a friend of mine who was a carpenter to run a workshop in a commercial room that I had. Since then I had been taking carpentry lessons from him while also helping with the sales of the furniture he made. Unfortunately, the business came tumbling down a few months ago when he was forced to drop everything and rush to his hometown to attend to some family emergencies which have kept him there ever since. To be able to continue running the business, I decided to pay for carpentry courses at another workshop to complete the training I had started taking from my friend. This month, I used most of my transfer to pay for the training then spent the rest on rent payment and purchasing of foodstuff."

Diana
received a $22 twenty-first payment.
"In the next six months, I know my business will be doing much better than now. When I keep on investing as I am doing now, I will have increased stock which will increase income from the profits of the business. This will help me meet all my needs well and in time without having to depend on anyone for help. My desire is to have a bright future and give the best for my family more than what I experienced in my own life. I would not want any of my siblings and children to drop out of school as I did because of finances."

Ibrahim
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"I added some of the earnings from my business to the money I recently received from Give Directly and paid my rent for the month. I had always planned to be saving part of my transfers for the purposes of expanding my video game business, but sometimes it is a bit tough considering the expenses that were encountered over the month."

Christine
received a $22 twenty-first payment.
"My life will be different in the next six months in that I will have bought all the materials for building a kitchen. My children are growing up and they need their privacy which is compromised when we stay in the same house. This is because they sleep in the living room. My desire is for them to have their own space and as well get a good cooking place. Currently, I am cooking outside which is affected a lot during the rainy season. I would want to handle the two issues once by building a kitchen with extra space for the children."
