Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
For now, I still plan to continue to expand the business by adding more stock. I will still invest in the business on a monthly basis so that I can make it more stable to help me in the future through the profits.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am financially stable. I did not know that at any given time of my life I would achieve this by now. I did not finish my education as I would have wanted because my family did not have the finances to take me to school. As a result, I had to depend on my parents for most of my needs. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to start a business which has been my main source of income. As a result, I no longer depend on my parents to meet all my needs as before. I have my finances to meet my needs and also to support the family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I know my business will be doing much better than now. When I keep on investing as I am doing now, I will have increased stock which will increase income from the profits of the business. This will help me meet all my needs well and in time without having to depend on anyone for help. My desire is to have a bright future and give the best for my family more than what I experienced in my own life. I would not want any of my siblings and children to drop out of school as I did because of finances.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was before GiveDirectly came into our village in that, I no longer entirely dependent on my mother for financial support like I used to do. Nowadays I can easily take care of my personal needs without any difficulty. It has saved me a lot because there were somethings which I used to feel embarrassed to ask my parents to buy for me. I am glad because this will no longer be the case anymore.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to open a cosmetic shop. There is none in our area at the moment and I feel that this could be a great opportunity. Beauty shops have had good records of returning good profits if managed well. I believe that all will go well and I will finally put my poverty life to an end. Responsibilities such as paying college fees will no longer be an issue.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Completing education, after four years of being in and out of school, is all that I wanted. I finally managed to join college which was the next hustle. I could defer my semesters because of financial constraints. Having a dream of becoming a teacher seemed impossible and I felt like all my hard work since primary would go to waste. I never wanted that to happen therefore I gave my studies the first priority when I received transfers from Give Directly. With their help, I was able to go back to college to pursue my dream course. So far this is the biggest difference in my daily life. I know that I will be able to complete school so that I can support my younger siblings to reach their goals of becoming greater people in society someday.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to have a cosmetic shop. I am planning to save more so that I can be able to start this business. If all goes well, I will expand it and include other items such as shoes and clothes so as to attract more customers. This will ensure that I get more profits which will guarantee me a steady life.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to join college and paid the fees needed. This was like a dream to me but GD has it come true. After finishing my secondary education I knew that would be the end of me with school because I had younger siblings who needed support as well. How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Apart from joining college, the other change brought in my life with these transfers is that I am self-independent financially. I no longer have to literally beg for anything from my parents. This is one of the reasons why my parents could not support my college education. It means they would provide for my personal and school needs which was too much on their small income from casual work. I am glad about the transfers, I am able to sort my personal needs on my own without having to seek help from my parents.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start a business. The business will help me improve my daily income so as to get school requirements in time and also support my parents in providing for the family. I would want to have a better future and this can only happen if I have a stable source of income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have registered for college education. I finished my secondary education two years ago and because of insufficient finances in my family, I have never joined any college. My parents told me to wait until my other siblings finish their secondary school is when they could sponsor my college education. I had tried saving the little income from casual work in the village but I have never managed to get the required amount to join college. With the transfers, I have been able to join college studying hairdressing course which I know I will perform very well and get a well-paying job so as to ensure my other siblings get a quality education.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to ensure my school fees is paid in time. I would not want a case where I am sent home for school fees and miss so many things as my fellows are in school studying. I want to have maximum time in school and study. I know through this, I will perform well.
