"The biggest difference in my life is that my grandchildren now has a better place to sleep and at the same I have a nice neat place to cook for my family. My grandchildren will never experience the sleepless night that they have been going through for so many years. There safety is also now guaranteed being that I managed to build a nice kitchen with a very strong door as compared to the first kitchen. I also managed to buy dairy cow where I will getting milk for my family consumption, I will not spend money any more to buy milk from my neighbors as I used before since it is very expensive. "

"The biggest difference in my life is that I now have a stable source of income that I will depend on in future to pay school fee for my children, I will not bother anyone to support me paying school fee for my children. For that reason I am sure of educating my children to the whatever level they would want to be. I am also able to take care of my family needs comfortably with the money I received from my tomatoe farming, I no longer depend on my spouse fully for everything. "

"Low land productivity as a result of unpredictable rainfall patterns has led to poor harvests from my farm hence this is the biggest hardship i face. We always end up consuming the low quantity we harvest hence none is left for sale. This means that we have stagnated development wise and all our dreams and goals are rendered futile."

"My life will have changed in the next six months in that, I will have opened a shop. Due to this, I will be able to help my parents with some of our needs while saving some amount. I will later use this savings to buy a dairy cow and to enroll myself in a tertiary institution. It has always been my wish to continue with my education but my parents are currently not in a position to help me pay the tuition fee. Having this business will be a savior to me since the income that I will be getting from it will enable me to achieve this and other goals that I have in life."

"I expect my life to be much better in the next six months because I believe I will have managed to initiate the poultry project. I believe the business will have stabilized by that time. My health generally will have also improved because I will no longer skip doctor's appointments because of the lack of finances since I now have a medical card. The card will help me still get to be served even when I am broke"

"My life is now different because I am currently owning three cows which I would not have managed to buy on my own cost. One of my future goals was to have at least a good source of income. I feel GiveDirectly has fulfilled this since I will be selling milk as these cows reproduce. I also acquired new beddings through this transfer and replaced the old and worn out beddings I have been using for years. I purchased new wooden beds and mattresses for my family. It's a great joy to me because I now have comfortable beddings and also for my children unlike before GiveDirectly came to us."

"Purchasing a modern wooden bed plus a mattress will be my first and best-achieved desire in my life. This is because all my life, I have never slept on a mattress that I can call mine and as of now I use a worn-out carpet as my bedding. You can imagine my children sleeping on the floor and expect them to wake up early in the morning to go to school. Their performances have been low and I have always thought the beddings they use can be the reason for this. I am so glad to learn that soon, they will spend their nights well immediately I get the cash grant from GiveDirectly. In addition, I will be able to clear their fee arrears and this will mean settling them in class and hence, better performance. My other plan was to use utmost $300 to buy 2 indigenous dairy cows that will act as my long term investment since they will multiply with time. This will give a better version to my life and generally, better living standards."
